LINCOLN – Anice M. Goodwin Dysart, 78, wife of Edward Dysart, passed away July 2, 2005, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born, June 21, 1927, in Enfield, the daughter of Waldo A. and Ella M. (Doane) Davis. Anice was a very selfless person, always putting others first. She was always giving a ride to people who needed to go somewhere, and enjoyed visiting people at the nursing home and hospital. She was a faithful member of the First Bible Baptist Church of Lincoln, where she served on the hospitality committee. In addition to her husband, Edward, she is survived by two sons and their wives, Michael and Alyson Goodwin and Brian and Lisa Goodwin; two grandchildren, Brendan Goodwin and Angelia Jipson, all of Lincoln; three sisters, Florence Dudley of Howland, Mary Swett of Seboeis and Ruth Sage and her husband, Lloyd, of Howland; a sister-in-law, Joyce Michaud of Idaho; her mother-in-law, Villa Karls, and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Byron Oliver, Phillip Oliver and Cheryl Lancaster; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Reginald “Bud” Goodwin; brothers and sisters, Blaine Davis, Harold Davis, Lucille Elliott, Billy Davis, Kenneth Davis and Louise Ward; and a brother-in-law, Donald Oliver. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Terry Upcott officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hospice. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
