VAN BUREN – Andre M. Castonguay, 67, died Oct. 25, 2003, at a Caribou hospital. He was born in St. Andre, New Brunswick, Canada, June 26, 1936, the son of Joyime and Agnes (Rioux) Castonguay. He was employed as a logger and lumberman for most of his working life. Andre is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jacqueline “Jackie” (Lavoie) Castonguay of Van Buren; four daughters, Marlene Levesque of Van Buren; Therese Duggins and her husband, Charles, of Spanaway, Wash.; Rose Nuttall of Bangor, and Linda Cote of Windsor Locks, Conn.; three sons, Andre Castonguay Jr. of Van Buren; Claude Castonguay of Saco; Norman Castonguay and his wife, Joanne, of Stafford Springs, Conn.; four sisters, Yvonne Derosier of Grand Falls, New Brunswick; Claudette Christnot of Presque Isle, Sylvia St. Amand of St. Andre, New Brunswick, and Velva Roussell of Green River, New Brunswick; two brothers, Pierre Castonguay of Van Buren, and Augustin Castonguay of Grand Falls, New Brunswick; 13 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 12 High St., Van Buren, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
