BUCKSPORT – Alice S. London, 84, wife of the late Raymond London, died April 19, 2007, in Penobscot. She was born April 15, 1923, in Harrington, the daughter of Kenneth A. and Josephine (Burgess) Smith. Alice graduated from Lubec High School and was a long time resident of Bucksport. She worked for Dead River Oil Co. as a bookkeeper in Brewer, Houlton, Calais and Lubec for many years. She was also a member of the North Bucksport United Methodist Church. Surviving are one brother, Kenneth C. Smith of Bucksport; one nephew, Bradford S. Smith and his wife, Malou, of Florida; several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a niece, Sharon Marion. A memorial service will be held later in the spring at a time to be announced and burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Bucksport.
