MILO, Maine — What started as a domestic assault complaint on Friday night ended with the arrest of one resident and charges against two others.
Jason W. Perkins, 35, was charged with domestic assault as well as violating his conditions of release and possession of a useable amount of marijuana.
The investigation into the incident led to drug charges against two others. Jack Bragg Sr., 61, was charged with the sale or use of drug paraphernalia and possession of a useable amount of marijuana. Angel Perkins, 35, was charged with the sale or use of drug paraphernalia.
Police received a call shortly after 9:30 p.m. Friday of an assault in progress, according to Milo Police Chief Michael Poulin. When police arrived at Bragg’s Daggett Road home, they were told that Angel Perkins had been shoved into a wall by Jason W. Perkins, according to the chief. He said Angel Perkins refused medical treatment.
Jason Perkins was arrested later that night at a relative’s home on Ferry Road where he had apparently gone after the alleged assault.
When police went back to Bragg’s home to get a statement, the officers said, they smelled the strong odor of marijuana, Poulin said. Upon being invited back in, Poulin said, there was probable cause to search the house. That search allegedly uncovered a small amount of marijuana, marijuana seeds, rolling paper, marijuana pipes and drug paraphernalia, Poulin said.
