Bethel woman arrested in connection to bank robbery

BETHEL, Maine — A spokesman for the Maine State Police says a Bethel woman has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery at the Key bank in Bethel on Thursday.

Troopers and detectives charged 30-year-old Nancy Plante with armed robbery after interviewing her at the Bethel police station Friday evening.

Authorities said Plante lives in an apartment at 52 Main St. in Bethel and the Key Bank is located at 96 Main Street.

The defendant was to be transported to the Oxford County Jail and is expected to appear in Oxford County Superior Court early next week.
