NORTH HAVEN, Maine (AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of a Maine man whose boat ran aground near the island of North Haven after he loss consciousness.

Investigators say the death of 64-year-old Eton F. Churchill of Camden is not considered suspicious. Another boater who climbed aboard to investigate the grounded sailboat discovered him unconscious and attempted to perform CPR Wednesday evening.

Chief Warrant Officer Curtis Barthel says Coast Guard officers and emergency medical personnel went to the scene, but by that time Churchill already was dead.
